I wanted to check and see if anyone knows whether the passenger side sunvisor had an optional removeable mirror on the 70-72 Grand Sports I seen one in a 69' Skylark and it had Buick etched in the upper LH corner looked pretty good. Mark S.
Vanity mirrors The visor vanity mirror was a Buick Approved Accessory item, and Ive seen two types: one with metal clips that slid over the visor, and some with plastic studs that pushed into nylon fastners that were installed in pre-located holes in the left hand or right hand visors. The installation drawing shows the various locations for these holes in all models for '68 / '69. The front surface of the mirror was plain, or had 'BUICK' or 'BUICK Is a beauty too' etched in the upper left corner. They still pop up on evilBay every so often. :TU:
Mine must be a GM accessory piece. Mirror with "GM" logo top left corner. Secured by two-way tape.Bought it NOS last year, still in the GM box.
My 70 had one just like this when I go it. It had some scratches and was a little dirty so I think I threw it away in the mid 80's, who needs that worthless crap ou: I should kick my own a$$!!
