i have an 85 buick lesabre w/ a vinyl top..its startin to look a little beat up and was wondering if i could simply remove the vinyl materal from the top of my car and if the metal underneath it would blend with the rest of the car..i dont mean will it be the same color, but will the metal line up with the rest of the body?

It should - the vinyl is just glued on. If you have trim, that might be a problem if is is put on with fasteners (but it would probably be glued on an '85).

You don't know what's underneath, though - be prepared to paint it, maybe take care of a little rust. If you have to paint it, it might be hard to blend with the rest of the body color after all this time.
