Here is a pair of brackets that are original for some of the vinyl top cars. The vinyl top cars have 2 vertical seams that go between the trunk lid and the rear window. On some cars the vinyl piece is glued and wrapped around these pieces to make a nice straight seam. I have seen these brackets on some 71-72 Skylark/GS cars, but they may fit other years as well.

These are very hard to find, as they usually rot away and all you are left with is a hole in the tulip panel. Both include the original pal nuts.

Price of the pair is $20 including shipping to the 48 states. All parts are located outside the Philadelphia Area.

Well lets see, they are 2 3/4" long by 5/8" wide with the stud in the middle.

    Duane,

I'll be measuring the moldings on my f85 tonight. There are 2 pieces that just don't lay flat for the vinyl top molding. I'll get back to you tonight.

    Thanks.

    No problem.
I know these are off Buicks but they may work on the Olds. The only thing that might not work is the length due to the differences in the back window areas.

    Duane,

Sorry for the late reply. My F85 has some aftermarket top molding that are narrower that what you have and use narrow plastic clips.

I'll have to pass but thanks for measuring.
