I am getting close to replacing the vinyl top on my 1971 Skylark. The last guy had ground all the studs down and covered any holes. I have the holes redrilled and the mouldings, corners are aligned. I still have the clips to put in yet. I got to thinking, do you put the vinyl top under the clips or cut the top to fit around the clips?o No: I guess I would think the clips go on top of the vinyl top material, otherwise the moulding might not lock in place.
