I'm going to start looking at at some 70-72 GSs' for a project car and I want to get some tips on how to read the VIN or cowl tag to make sure its a real GS.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Here's the very basics in identifing a 1970-1972 GS by VIN - 1970 - 434 - GS350 446 - GS455 1971 - 434 - GS 1972 - (2nd letter in VIN must be a 'G') 4G - GS
Sun Coupe Tim: Tell me about your Sun Coupe. I have a 2 owner (I am 2nd owner) with all documentation. Sloan, Build Sheet etc. It has White interior and Red "Sun Coupe carpet option" Fire Red color Here is a picture. Thx JA
Well right now it's a project car it probably won't be done for a year or more. But it is a GS 350,was dark brown with white vinyl top and interiorbuckets and console,no A/C,N-25 bumper.Right now its in a million pieces, and unfortunatly it probably won't be ready for the BPG nats in August .
Thx for the info and compliment. It just got painted a couple months ago, it was a little rough before. Interior is under construction, in fact I am doing carpet today if it stops raining. Red again for sure. If you send me an email I can send you my Sloan info, order form and window sticker from Mike Trommetter. I found the build sheet under the pkg tray but it is rough because of a rear window leaking and subsequent rust. It has a 350-4bbl. single exhaust as of now. Did you get Sloan info for yours? email pakual@sbcglobal.net thx JA
