Can someone tell me if Buick stamped VIN # on the frame on my '69 GS400 convertible? The location seems to elude me. I suppose I've looked everywhere except the right place. I the car on the frame? If it is you are not going to find it. They were usually on top of the frame under the drivers door.
It's in the same location on the back driver side rail except on top of the frame, can't see it with the body on. At least that is where mine is stamped. Can send some pics if you need them.
Most of the stamps were so faint you often cannot see the numbers even after the frame has been blasted. Duane
