Are you sure this is right? ST72 is a 1972 modelyear car, and that 434347 in front of FL for Flint should be totally different. Could you post the VIN please? TR 138 is black vinyl 26 = Stratomist Blue B = Black vinyl roof or black convertible top (since I can't figure out the type of car) 11a = build in the first week of the eleventh month, that'll be November 1971
Re: Re: vin numbers Fisher didn't change their cowl plate codes like Buick changed the VIN codes in 1972.
Harle - That's a cowl plate, not the VIN. According to the cowl, it's a 1972 (ST 72) Buick GS coupe (43437) built in Flint (FL1). The 'A51' is for bucket seats, and as Erik stated, they're black. The VIN should look something like 4G37@2H###### where '@' would represent the motor option and ###### is the serial number (no relation to Fisher Body number on the cowl). Values for '@' are K - 350-4 U - 455-4 V - 455-4 Stage1 HTH

'72 If you are interested, I know this guy. I have sold a car to him. The owners name is Keith McCracken. He lives close to me in Florida (Orlando area). He deals in all kinds of cars(broker). He appears to be a honest individual. He told me he only deals with documented cars. If you need to speak with him, I will give you his cell phone number. Mike
A spoiler could be ordered on any Flint-built coupe in 1972. Sloan could tell you if it left the factory with the spoiler
