Vin Decoding

    Is this right for my car 1971 LeSabre. VIN 454671X184447
    4=Buick Division
    54=LeSabre
    67=2dr Convertible
    1-1971
    X=Kansas City, KS
    184447=Production Number

  2. Don't forget that's a "Custom" LeSabre! I'm not sure about the X plant off the top of my head, but the rest is correct.

    X is correct..same plant that both of my big buicks came from:TU:

    I thought X signified Fairfax, KS:confused:

    67 - 2-Door Convertible
    1 - 1971
    X - Fairfax, KS
    184447 - Production #

    Plant Codes for '71:

    C - Southgate, CA
    G - Framingham, MA
    H - Flint, MI
    X - Fairfax, KS
    Y - Wilmington, DE
    Z - Fremont, CA
