I have seen this car in person and know the owner, it is a very nice car! Find it Here

    Authentic 1968 Buick GS 350

One of 7,350 made in 1968. Built in Fremont California plant and sold new at Gilchrist Buick in Tacoma, Washington. This is a mostly original car with current performance upgrades. Numbers matching engine and differential. I have owned this car for 6+ years. In many cases where there were upgrades, I have original parts (air cleaner, wheels, radio, etc).

This car featured in Reader's Rides section of HOT ROD magazine in September of this year.

Engine: Original engine with mild cam, recurved distributor, Original Quadrajet carb performance rebuilt and car tuned on Dynojet Dyno. Tested at 225 rear wheel horspower. Not bad for mostly stock Buick 350. TA Performance high pressure oil pump and timing cover. Runs like a dream.

Transmission: Original two-speed replaced with custom built late model TH-350 with mild shift kit. Nice snap into second but nice road manners. Rear end is original 3:42 Posi with new bearings on axles.

Exhaust: 2.5" mandrel bent full dual system with X crossover pipe. Flowmaster Delta-Flow mufflers custom designed and installed by Austins' ProMax in Tacoma Washington. Sounds Perfect!!!

Suspension: Upgraded 500 miles ago. All bushings replaced with PST Poly-Graphite bushings. New Ball Joints, tie rod ends, etc. 2" dropped spindles in front with 1" shorter new coils in rear. Factory front and rear sway bars. New gas shocks on all corners. Parts from PST and Hotchkis.

Brakes: Manual drum brakes replaced with power discs. Corvette style 13.5" slotted rotors with aluminum calipers on front and 11.5" slotted rotors on rear. Corvette master cylinder and booster. Brake proportioning valve and gauge. All new parts. Brake system from Stainless Steel Brake Company

Wheels: 225/50R16 on torque Thrust II on front and 245/45ZR17 on rear. Tires are Toyo Proxes FZ4 performance.

Body: Excellent condition with only a couple of very small dings in right rear quarter. Painted once in original code clor years ago. It is showing some signs of wear if you look real close. Trunk is detailed and good, same under hood. No rust in floors, trunk or around rear window (watch for this on A bodies). Rear bumper rechromed at Art Brass in Seattle. All other chrome and trim is straight and very good condition. This car is probably only a tiny bit of touch up body work and a nice custom paint job away from being a serious car show winner. Numerous Buick folks have stated it as a number 2 car.

Misc: I have original Owners Manual, Brochures and Warranty book with PermaPlate. Tons of reference materials, original magazines, framed ads and ribbons and awards from car shows. Way to much to lay out here....

I don't, but knowing the car and the work that has been done to it and the condition it is in, I would guess mid teen's.

That old yellow thing? Not sure why it was in the Show pictures. I think maybe it was left in the parking lot the night before and they hadn't towed it out yet to make room for the nice cars. :moonu:
