Hi Gary; This car was on e-bay a week or so ago. The highest bid came in at $11,100. It was sold to the present owner a year or so ago for around 11 Grand. It had the Dealer installed Dual Quad set-up and appearence package with the Aluminum valve covers and Chrome air cleaner. He removed all of the good stuff from under the hood and is trying to sell them seperatly. He installed a junkyard intake, Carb, (from a riv. no less), and air cleaner. This guy is playing Flip This Car on e-bay. If he can get away with it, fine. But the engine long block is original, not the rest. I wrote a question to him about selling the car with the original equipment on it and got what amounted a kiss my hiney answer back. I guess he doesn't like it when a BUICK person knows what he is doing. But he will probably keep re-listing it till someone doesn't know his doings. It sure is a nice car tho.

I've got two 65 GSs, one is a post car. Love them. I'm gonna drop him an eBay line and heat him up a little.

Len, thanks for the heat. At least you are up front with it.

As for ponch - please get the facts right. The high bid was $12,000 and the "dealer installed dual quad setup" you talk about was probably from a 64 Wildcat. The carbs were a 3645S and a 3646S with a B1357106L intake. Hardly 65 dealer installed material. I wish they had been. I sold the intake and carbs, the reproduction valve covers and a most exquisite chrome dual quad air cleaner and then RETURNED THE CAR TO ORIGINAL with parts from I got from Carmen Faso (excluding the carburetor which I disclose). If you got the impression that I gave you a "kiss your hiney" response I sure didn't mean to. One more thing - how would you know how much I paid for the car :error:

As for getting my facts straight; my bid was for 12 G's. The next highest was 11.100 which is what I would have paid. As for the Dealer Installed Dual Quad set-up, anyone who bought a 65 Skylark GS could have asked the Dealer to install the set-up + the appearance option. As for what you paid for it, I have a long memory.

Ponch - Thanks for the bid and, yes, I am aware that the dealer could install a dual quad setup but, as previously stated, this car wasn't one of them. I do believe you've got the wrong guy and the wrong car. Wrong price, wrong date. Have a nice day.
