It's (probably) a 61 or later aluminum Buick 215 which later became the basis for the Rover engine, or it is a Rover engine, since they comment on having a TR8 bellhousing for it.
yes The 64 300 was a cast iron block with aluminum heads and intake, that year only, 65 300 had cast iron intake and heads http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=221978 Bruce
In 64 buick made a alum.V8, my friend has one in his 64 skylark, it was a 333 ci, it weighed 16 lbs more then the V6.I think production was less then 300 cars.Even though I have seen the car personally,I got some of the information from the 70 Years of Buick by George H Dammann page 290. My friends car is located in Hanover Pa and he is a big used buick parts dealer.
My 64 is iron block. My father said he remembers an aluminum block for 64, I thought he was wrong but maybe not. I would love to know for sure and to see it with my own eyes. The heads in the ebay listing look like Oldsmobile. 5 bolt valve cover and rounded corners don't look like Rover or Buick.
