Looking for a ventless dash pad from a non-AC sedan or post coupe,as perfect as it can get,or NOS. Black preferred, but more interested in how nice it is.
I sold a nice green one to @GSXER last year -Not sure if Joe really needed as it was part of a lot of them.
Thank you both. Thinking of converting my 455 4-speed car to a heater-delete as IF it were made like that. Some of the 60’s cars were, but that stuff was mandatory by 1970.
I had a mint one a few years back - no body even replied to my post when I had for sale at $50.00. Sorry I tossed it now.
I was thrilled to sell mine (probably based on what you'd told me wrt yours). I figured a pretty low $# for it into the package deal I made to sell several dash pads I'd accumulated.
My '72 sedan is made up to be a heater delete car with a ventless dash pad and a block off plate under the hood and in the dash where the heater controls would normally be located. The funny part is when you have a guy at the cruise-in tell you that he had a heater-delete '70-'72 Buick too. Of course his car was a Stage 3.
just homemade. Also keep you eyes open for a matching dash bezel that doesn't have a LH vent (any non-A/C car with a vent window would use this dash)
I have a few non-AC bezels. Would you be interested in making another blank like that. Since you’ve already made one,you could do it quicker than I could. I could also see that useful for a street/strip car that you could mount 2 1/16 gauges along there. Maybe.
You have a few non-AC bezels without a LH vent? Those were only used on cars with ventless dash pads so they are pretty unusual these days. The block-off panel is relatively straight forward after you find a piece of material.
Yes,I parted a few non-AC post coupes. However,I am curious how the new repop bezels are made. Are you able to cut out what you need,or are they all made for the vent?
Dug through today. I have 4, 2 black, and 2 blue. I'll clean up the black ones tomorrow and shoot you pics. Fred
