WOW-WHAT A GREAT TIME!! The guys who put this event together are to be HUGELY thanked! On saturday, there was almost ulimited track time, i never waited for more than 5 minutes for a pass. The track crew was freindly and efficient, the guys in the GNs were REALLY FAST all day and the exhibition passes in the hundred and sixty PLUS MPH and faster were awesome.

Winning the V8 car bracket is definitely the highlight of an already really good year for me, and I want to thank everyone who helped make it possible, from my understanding wife, Len Bentley without whose help with parts I needed my car still would not be together after last years major engine explosion, Jim Burek from PAE Enterprises whose cyl heads are a work of art, Dave from Daves Small HEI's for helping sort out my ignition problems in short notice just before the race, and of course Jon Whittington and his pals and ALL OF THE GUYS WITH V8 CARS WHO CAME TO VEGAS AND MADE IT THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR!!!!!!

Anyone within traveling distance of this event next year NEEDS TO COME OUT AND HAVE SOME FUN!! In addition to a great race and a lot of fun, its in VEGAS- where you can find something to do besides the race all week so make it a part of your vacation plans for next year!!
The guys in charge even paid out the top four spots with cash-I received nearly as much money for my win as the guys who traveled to kentucky for the quick 16 race at that "other" Buick race and they needed a lot more time off, gas money etc etc. -and i got a beautiful trophy plaque as well. They really wanted us there with our non turbo cars and want us to come back so next year lets see some support!!

I might point out, Scott DROVE his car from So. Cal. to Las Vegas, raced it, won his class, used it as his driver car in 'Vegas, then, DROVE it back home!

I understand he got pretty good mileage as well.

    GREAT job!!!

I also want to say what a great time I had! Being the only 350 skylark was interesting to say the least. I want to thank all of you that were there to help me get my car diled in during the test and tune. Going from a 16.80 to a GREAT 15.51 was really cool. Loosing in the elimination rounds with the best time of the day for me was the only way for me to go out. I'm glad all of you with the 12 and 13 sec. cars let me race with you. Thanks.
Scott thanks again for the round you bought for every one after the races. That shows really good sportsmanship. I think that it helped make me feel like more of a winner. I know I will be back next year for sure!
