Local Moosehead Brewery reported a trailer load full of 50,000 cans of Moosehead Export simply " vanished". Empty trailer recovered locally.
Moosehead Export is marketed locally as "Alpine' & believe me, it's the good stuff.
Cans can be identified by English script on one side & Spanish on the other.
Load destined for Toronto & then headed to southern states & Mexico.
If you come across any of this for sale " cheap" be advised you have to try a couple cans to be sure it's the real thing.
Local police very interested in talking with the truck driver should they ever find him.

The police made an arrest today here in Canada.Presumably the beer never made it to Mexico.Talk about the gang that couldn't shoot straight! Pretty hard to fence with the wild and crazy label.

the geniuses hauling a trailer-load of moosehead behind a pick up truck had a little problem . cannot remember whether the trailer came unhooked or some of the load fell off of it in a farmer's field . farmer the incident & the perps fled .
farmer was concerned that his bull might drink the beer & become "tight" .

    Driver arrested & charged!
Police can only account for about 5000 cans, another 45,000 still floating around.
Local vets not sure what to do with the bull & herd of cows.
Seems the grass tastes better right where the small load spilled.

OK, so you steal 50000 beer so you can sell it.

You sell it to get money.

You use the money to kick back with some beer.

Am I the only one that sees the flaw in their reasoning?

Im just suprised 50,000 cans of good beer made it out of Canada at all !!

    (Sorry Northern buddies....couldn't resist)

Now what would have been REALLY funny is if they found the truck THE NEXT DAY with all empties inside. Nice return deposit though

Quite a ways to go for me but I'll get to one, sooner or later.
Myself & any other Canadians there will give you southern folks a lesson or two on how to really drink real beer!!
None of this watered down US beer for us!!

You obviously haven't been to the Pacific NW!

I was in Virginia a few months ago, staying in a hotel. There was a gas station/mini mart in the same parking lot along with the usual few restaurants. To them, Sam Adams is a microbrew! That and Heineken were as good as it got...

I'll stick with my PacNW microbrews any day.

had a friend in mansfield oh , many years ago . anytime we went to visit , always had to bring him a 24 of molson canadian . he loved that beer . we used to call it the ex-lax of beers . i imbibed colt 45 malt liquor when i was in the u.s. . one thing about cdn beers , is that we use no rice in our recipes . as i have grown older , i have gained a likeness for busch lite . from molson cdn to bush lite - from real beer to near beer .
with all that moosehead spilled in the farmer's field , maybe the bull and the cows will end up in a drunken orgie .
