Need help in deciding wether to part out or sell a 70 electra 4 dr. with 125K miles. It is fairly rust free and very complete. Should be numbers matching. I can post pics later(still learning the digital thang).

Runs good, just needs minor repairs to make road worhty.

How much would it be worth? $2K, less, more?

    Thanks

How much work is needed on it to make it road worthy? and are you asking what it would be worth before or after repairs?

If I had the spare change and a place to park it i'd like to have a sled to get out and slum in.

Those cars are getting more and more rare because of people like us that yank the drive train for a GS/Lark and junk the body.

I'd say price it to sell with the consideration of the needed repairs. You may try e-bay. I could take that car to east Nashville TN and get some JACK for it, if ya know what I mean :Brow:

As for what price, i'd hate to say without seeing it inside and out.

I just parted out a 70 4dr hdtp. Could not give away the parts. I kept the engine and fan shroud. Had to put them to good use.
If you can get more than $1000, I wish you luck. I have seen many here in the FL salvage yards that were super clean, no one wants them here except for engines. Local yards don't pay more than $100 per car. You actually may do better parting it out.

A 70 fan shroud on Ebay is over $400 now, I can't believe it!

I know that the wheel cylinders are leaking and that may also mean rear shoes as well. It already runs and drives now and needs the brake work above, belts, brake light fixed on right side and a new state inspection. I am thinking about starting to drive it to work some. I will take some pics soon and post here. The paint code is 50 F (Bamboo Cream?), brown vynal top, wheel covers, fender skirts, brown vynal interior, electric windows(RF needs motor?)

It may take $100 to get it to pass state inspection.
