Hello, Does anyone have a vacuum line diagram or direct me to a source for one? I did not locate one the manual. Thanks, Rick
Dont have diagram, like you said not in 65 manuals, but the engine vacuum lines were pretty simple, best bet is to ask for some pictures. Here is how they were run on 401 Riviera should be about the same as wildcat and most other in 65. There was a tee on the back of the carburetor that supplies vacuum for the PCV valve on the passenger's side valve cover and the power booster for your brakes. On the right rear, a steel line goes to the vacuum modulator on the transmission. From the carburetor base on the front of the carb a line runs to the vacuum advance on the distributor. There's a port on the carburetor neck that supplies fresh air to the choke tube. It runs to the bottom side of the passenger's side exhaust manifold. It's not really a vacuum line.
PM me and I send pics of how most of the lines Rob describes are routed, except for the fresh air line to the carb airhorn..I would love to see a picture of that myself!
Hi Rick, do you have any other accessories - vacuum trunk, vacuum door locks or a/c can all add complications to the diagram. I think I have seen some pictures in the body manual or parts book. I am doing some research and I will post if I find some vacuum diagrams. Ted
Sorry, My inbox was full.....I can post some pictures here of my engine and how the lines and carb were set up with the AFB....
