    hi to all,

    i have a question about connecting a 4 bbl q-jet.
on my 71 skylark i changed my 2 bbl intake to the stock 4 bbl intake with the stock q-jet. may be you guys can help me to connect the vacuum lines to the carb.

pls see the numbers on the pics.

    am i right that:

number 3 (the little tube is missing, i replaced it) is ported vac and should be connected to the distributor?

number 1 should be connected to the hose on the backside of the intake.

where to connect number 2 (i think it is full vac!?) and number 4 ?

would be great to get some help :)

    greetings from germany

Yes #3 is ported and can be used for vacuum advance on the dist. That is where I have it hooked up. Others hook manifold vacuum to the dist.

Yes #1 hooks to the rubber hose attached to the PCV valve in the back of the intake.

#2 is manifold vacuum and can be used for your evap system, if equipped.

#4 is manifold vacuum, could be a good place to tap for the distributor vac advance if you want manifold vacuum.

Put rubber caps on anything you dont use.

Im pretty sure #4 goes to the vacuum ball on the firewall for your heater door.

4 is for vacuum ball, 2 is for evap charcoal canister i think, 1 is pcv, 3 is vac advance
