Should I have a vacuum canister or were they for air cars only. I have a newly running 70 455 .30 over mild cam stage 1 heads. It is sluggish (boggy) unless you feather throttle. :Do No:

you need to be more detailed, carb? most bogs are from the secondarys on the QJET opening to fast, you may need to tighten up the spring or if you dont have a chock pull off canister i think there is nothing holding them closed so when you nail it, the secondarys arnt laging like they should

No vacuum cannister on heater only cars. It's cable operated. Check for vacuum leaks, and accelerator pump operation if you are getting off idle hesitation.
