While you're enjoying your day off, just remember why you have today off and give thanks to all of our veterans :TU: :beer
You U.S.P.S. guys are lucky, where I work I only get 6 paid holidays a year.

    Enjoy !!

  4. I think we all need to stop and give some thought to what this "holiday" is really all about. War is hell... my father-in-law served in WWII, and he never talks about it....ever. I believe anyone who serves in combat suffers permanent scars from their experiences, if they survive it.

Dave, enjoy your day off, I wish I had it off too. Seems to me that most private businesses do not give their employees the day off for Veterans Day. I guess it's just one of the perks you get when you serve the public. And by the way, thanks :TU: for the services you provide! :beer

    Mike,

I agree totally that we all should remember why some have this day off. I know that i will not ever forget,,,,,, i did a tour in the persian gulf while i was in the Navy and lost a very good friend when our ship was hit while on patrol. he lost his life as part of our team, defending our great country, and i will forever remember. Ltjg. Sean McFee. he died in his sleep after coming off a midwatch, never knew what him. great guy and a real Navy Officer and a Gentleman.

:beer to you Sean , i will never forget you man......................
