I stumbled across this and I thought I would share. This thing is completely impractical but I have to admit I'd love to have one.

Pretty cool! I like that the exhaust blows the shavings away from the work. Hmmm....I wonder if there is a keyless chuck version available?

Next updates should be a fan shroud, keyless chuck, and remote starting!

So this thing sent me down an interesting rabbit hole. The V8 here obviously runs and it puts out 4.35 ps @ 11200 rpm. I did not know what ps means so I looked it up and it stands for a German word - pferdestärke. The word means horsepower, but it is not exactly the same as the horsepower we all know. Horsepower we are familiar with is defined by the pulling power of a horse going up a mineshaft (supposedly). Outside of the third world, nobody uses horses to do a significant amount of work anymore so someone (probably the Germans) decided to update the definition. The new definition is the power needed to lift 75 kg of mass one meter in one second. The conversion is 1 ps = 0.9863 hp. ps is also known as metric horsepower. Learned something new today.

BTW, you can buy that V8 motor. It is known as a TOYAN FS-V800. Price is in the $1800 ballpark.

Wonder how long it will last with the axial load on the crankshaft while drilling. Still cool!
