71 chevelle w/ 396 was thwappin at the light... I had my monsoon blasting w/ ice cube talking about criminals and individuals ..etc Light turned green and we left the line normally.. I wound out first gear really slow to make my turbo wind up.. Seeing if i could get it louder LOL he punched it and jolted ahead.. Then i punched it and caught second. 4 seconds later at about 50 to 60 mph i had 2 car lengths on him.. You chevelle owners need to have your ride UN-PIMPED Y0 LOL i KNOW THIS ISN'T A BUICK RELATED KILL .. I still have 2 buicks sitting in my driveway so the v-dub needs some props... Just bought her on saturday and lemme tell ya.. I never ever thought a vw 1.8T was so quick.. Well under 7 second 1/8 mile adn roughly about 13.8 to 14 sec qtr mile times stock.. Can't wait to upgrade her and put her against my skylark to see what she can do.. lets hear it for the v-dub.
Maybe under 7 secs 0-60, but not in the 1/8th. My GN was barely 6.9x in the 1/8th with 60' times in the low 1.5s.
yes my bad i always concidered 1/8 miles 0-60 because most 0-60 averages out about 1/8 of a mile. but then again if you're a fast 0-60 you're not gettin that far to register that distance.. yes i wholeheartedly meant 0 to 60 times .. i'm sorry.

69cloner... Those V-Dubs are amazing. They build a *real nice* car. I've been intrigued by the R32 model myself. At $30k, they're a bit too pricey for me though.
I'v heard that the turbos burn out due to oil starvation. I can't remember but I think its sludge build up in the oils lines.
69cloner, a buddy of mine has a R32 and added an aftermarket turbo to it, that car kicks butt!!!!! Good luck with your vw, but keep it tuned, a lot of maintenance for those babies!!!
Speed isn't the only thing of value. Like a 'Lark, the Chevelle's front seat is so large that they don't need to use the rear one
