Used Big Block Springs in a Small Block Car?

I have some old big block springs and the ones in my small block car are a little droopy. Would it be worth trying? The current small block car has a block in each front spring. With 100lbs lighter than the big block car, I'm thinking it is worth a shot and it is coming apart sooner or later any way.

Don't really have a good answer for you but here is my latest experience.
Just did a front end rebuild on my car as we swapped the 350 for a 455.
With the old springs and the 350 in the front fender was 24" so i decided to go with the Moog 6204 spring talked about here.

Well those springs were way to long and were seriously bowed when installed. Completely on the top bump stops.
I decided this was a bit much and went with Moog 5536. These raised the fender to 27" which is about where I was wanting to be.
