Its time to torque my front end parts that I just installed and in the Buick Service Manual for my car it has two sets of torques. One is labeled "lower series" and the other is labeled "Upper series" What is the difference and which one do I use?

sounds like an allowable scale? My book gives a torque value that oyu loosen one slot in the castle nut to put the cotter pin in. How far apart are the torque specs?

Commonly the Upper Series were the LeSabre, Centurion, Electra, Riviera's of the day. The Lower Series were the Skylarks, Apollo's, etc.

Use the Upper Series torque specs on your LeSabre.
