I'm planning to add a vacuum booster set up to my manual drum brakes on my 67 Skylark vert.

Per the parts manual, the MC is the same for power or manual drum applications. What it is not clear on is whether any additional proportioning valve is needed or not. I assume it is not needed as the front to back brake capacity remain the same -- and that I can just use the existing distribution block.

So in this case I think all I need is a Booster and new brake lines from MC to distribution (as the MC is now further forward).

Anything I am missing or incorrect in the above?

    Thanks!

That sounds about right... but just make sure the mc is the same because manual matters sometimes have a smaller bore for less pedal effort.

I think I still have the original booster and brake lines I took off of my '67 GS when I changed over to front discs a couple of years ago. Both were in pretty nice shape. Booster worked fine, no troubles. Let me know if you might be interested and then I'll go hunting in my garage.
