sup guys, ive been scouring these boards for a while. i think im gonna start posting now. I'm over from www.fuelslut.net under the same name. Let me start by saying i am a 'rice' convert, i swore by the supra, until my new found domestic loving friends turned me... now i drive a 97 cobra, and i have a 73 455 sitting in my room, waiting to get built. I am currently searching for a 70-72 skylark 2 door in good condition to do a swap to. The buick GS 455 is my favorite car, and i curse my ignorance for not paying attention to the perfection of what is GM. I'm in philly, so i dont know if u guys are around here at all. I go to college out here. i hope i can learn a lot from u guys, thank u in advance for putting up with my idiotic questions.
lol, thanks guys, i dont know what to do first... i want to take this thing to a shop (i put it in the trunk of my cobra, yes it fit somehow and i feel like im doing wheelies everywhere) and get it cleaned/cut/bored/honed or should i buy a nice chassis first? any thoughts?
Hello Lifeat26psi, Welcome to the board.I am in south Jersey, and know of a couple of cars (Skylarks) sitting. One of which I plan on getting myself. I know of a 70 Skylark,no a/c,350- 2v,white,black top car. The gentleman is the original owner and says the car has been sitting for ten years.I've been "chasing" this car for about a year. If I catch up with him,I would be happy to let you know. :beer
Cool. It's like a security blanket, but loud. I wanted to keep one under my bed because it would help me sleep better. Welcome to the board.
hahahaha, u guys are great...yeah, my landlord walks into my room and is like...are you building a ****ing car in here....(i had drag radials/exhaust, the motor, gears, engine stands....yada yada yada..., and my room isnt that big) and he thought i was sick in the head. GS462GS, hey man, if u can keep me posted on that, that would be great... and i also go to atco quite often i dont know if u guys to there. I know my buddies and i are going to englishtown on july 24th for the F.A.S.T. event.
I know where there is a decent chassis in CT, a '72 Skylark with the I-6 & 2-speed auto, he is asking $1500. -Bob Cunningham
Welcome aboard! If you can't find a nice GS to drop that in there's always the 455 Regal converison. If you have any trouble with that thing in your room here's a good bit of camouflage for you:
That is so awesome! :TU: Now I know what to do with the spare 455 I have in storage. I really like the drink holders, too! Since I work with computers, I was thinking of doing something similar with some of the old servers and systems I keep adding to my collection, but THIS "motor" table... No wonder I've never drank coffee! IT WILL HAPPEN. (Someday!) I'm filing away the picture for a reminder! -- Larry 70 Electra Convertible
define decent chassis..... i was looking for something that i didnt need to do too much body work to, like a clean lark' that might be a possibility. that table is badass...i think its a landrover v8 if im not mistaken.
The wife would shoot me the first time she moved it to vacumn under it. Build more and place them on Ebay!! Fords, Chevy and all others too. Would make a killing!! Fed Ex would be pissed at you too.:af:
If thats the only traks or stains he gets on that carpet he'll be lucky ! :Brow: :eek2: :TU: That engine coffee table is funny Chit ...... Oh back in the day .....:Brow: :TU:
