I didn't know whether I should post this question here or the paper trail, But the car is the 68 lesabre 400 in my avatar. Can anyone tell me if they had rpo codes back in the day like I have in my 95 Chevy Suburban? If they did where should I be able to locate them at? I checked what I believed to be the normal places such as the driver door the glove box and under the hood on the rad top. but to no avail. Is there any way to tell if this lesabre had any special options on it throu8gh say a vin look up or could the vin find me answers to say an original build sheet?

You might find a copy of the build sheet in the car. Sometimes found in the seat springs or on top of gas tank.

If it's in original condition you will be able to spot most options. A sales brochure will tell you what came standard, and most available options.

No, there is no option sticker like that on our old cars. Your only hope is to find a build sheet behind the rear seat, under the carpet, above the gas tank, behind the dash, etc.
