Does anyone know where to get the plastic wire ties that holds the wires on the core support and some small hoses along the passenger side inner fender? I attached what I am looking for. Any help is greatly appreciated. Bob
Ames Performace Pontiac is the only vendor who sells the exact ones. They sell two different sizes. The 3.75 and the 2.75. The bigger are used for the fender wells and firewall and the smaller for the core support. They even have the correct looking "windows" in the head and the 4 digit part number. Ohter vendors sell them as well but they do not look the same. They cost $2 each but that is the price of correctness.
I have bought them from cars inc. and the parts place in the past . try to buy some other items otherwise shipping is outrageous...
What exactly are they called? I need to do a search on them. Are they retaining straps? Underhood wire ties? I see them on OPG for $5.95 a piece. I've found the 3.75" at Ames, now I need to find the smaller ones. I also found P102 and P104, but they don't look like what came off of my car. It's to hold front lamp wires across the top of the core support. It looks like there's two of them. BH
I will get te part numbers for you from Ames...As said before Cars and the other guys sell the wrong ones.
These are the ones I bought towards the bottom: Engine & Engine Compartment - WIRING STRAP & RETAINERS http://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/oca...st=1972&Search_Keyword=wire&CatID=0&curpage=2
A lot of venders sell the Ford style wiring retainers. Years ago I found a handfull of the weird looking one that goes on the firewall, but I never got to the manufacturer. I got some real good "trading material" because of them.:laugh::laugh: Duane
Here you go. Thank me for not having you have to wait to download Ames big catalog/ The 2.75" strap is part # P101 and the 3.75 is #P101C. They are on page 165 of the GTO catalog.
