    Hi Ken,

I have just installed firewall pad and under dash insulation on my -70 GS.
The firewall pad is a one piece, the other is a three piece with jigsaw connection. they were both purchased at The Parts Place, none of them came with instructions. The firewall pad was a quite good fit. The under dash insulation was not, it really does'nt line up with anything, I finally installed it with the jute glued to the metal starting with the biggest piece above the glove compartment.

The firewall pads are junk unless you buy the expensive $135 job from Ames Pontiac. It is molded rubber with contours like original. The other one is flat vinyl and does not fit properly. I put one in a car and it gave me fits. Ames has the insulation as well. the insulation above glues in.

I did the same thing for my 66... the Ames pad was spendy but the others just look and fit like crap.... you get what you pay for baby!
