i was reading that domestic versus rice story and was gonna comment on it, but i see that it's been locked and that's pry for the best.....i stick to making fun of everyone that takes themselves too seriously....i've posted this on the srt and the ls1 boards i go on.......i've got a 98z28(don't worry, i have a buick, too) and my brother in law has a neon se that he morphed into an srt4(plus some minor mods for now)......the neon is a BLAST to drive, and i thought it might be kinda close......it wasn't, but that has more to do with me putting headers on the ls1 two weeks before the track day :Brow: This was his best run, i ended up dipping down to a 12.5.....fast cars are cool, punks(no matter the age) aren't
Wow, .501 reaction time in your Z28 is awsome. A 13.2 is nothing to sneeze at for a turbo 4cylinder. Looks like a good run for both of you. an you are right, real fast cars are cool.
yeah, we're gonna frame that one! we actually both had good reaction times all day...on my 12.5 run he had a .503 and i had a .530.....the neon will pry hit 12s before winter.....i'm done with the z for a while, gotta work on the 225!
I try to respect anything fast, regardless of what country, or factory it rolled out of. It's nice to actually bump into some guy or kid who is doing some sort of performance modifications other than a k&n filter and a cat back exhaust... The way I see it, if some knocked a second or two off their stock ET, then they have a fast car... and its worth taking a look at, even if they've gone from 16.5 to 14.5/ o No:
yeah, a car's a car...or truck, or whatever......people get all bent out of shape about the craziest stuff........i just like vehicles, period......the first car i drove was grandpa's 70 electra(now it's mine :laugh: )...my first car was an 86 mazda 626(and being a punk kid i knew it wasn't fast but somehow thought it might be at the same time).......then we had a 86' bronco with a 351...my dad sold that cuz somehow somebody kept running the tank empty and burning up the tires( o No: ).....then i got a ride in a friends 97' lingenfelter camaro....i knew my first real car was gonna be a gt or a z28, and at the time the 94zs were cheaper and faster, so i got one, and i loved it, had it for 4 years and thought it was SOOO fast......now i work for dodge, have a chevy, a buick, a chrysler, and a dodge, and if i could afford it there are cars out there of every make and kind that i would love to have! one of these days i think i'll make an old school roadster with parts from everyone...maybe even power it with a 4cly turbo! i still wanna throw up when i see some of the gaudy stuff on the road, rice or otherwise, but i know i've changed my mind many times through my short life on whats cool and what's not......heck, i wanted to put spacers on my mazda at one point ou: glad dad talked me out of that one.......i am stepping off my soapbox.....now
