Not that I need to buy more cars, but it looks like I will!:Dou:

Just found out, Last Minute: Local paper ran auction ad this week (ends Friday):

1,100 cars from '30's to '70's will be auctioned off. Cars are all original, impounded cars that owners never claimed. Vehicles will be sold with Bills of Sale, but, without titles. Most have been "sitting" for almost 30 years, just as they were towed there, then!

Hardtops, Station Wagons, Convertibles, Pickup Trucks, 2 doors, 4 doors, they're ALL there.

    Some car "categories" include:

'55-'57 Chevy's (including an ORIGINAL '56 Sedan Delivery!)
Chevelles, El Caminos, Monte Carlos (about 50 of these, total. Did someone say Disc Brake Conversions?:Brow: )
    Corvairs
Camaros ('67-'76) about 30 of them
    Novas
    Impalas
    '68 Biscayne Wagon :eek2: RARE!

    '30-50's Pontiacs
    GTO's '64-'72
    Bonnevilles (Convertibles)
    Catalinas
    Firebirds '67-'74 (I want a '69 Firebird, BAD!:TU: )

    Mustangs '65-'73 (including a RARE '65 2+2)
    Thunderbirds

    AMC Javelins '69-'74
    Matadors

    Buicks
    '50s
    '55-57
    '60s Specials
    '72 Skylarks (5 of them! I'm going for another Convertible!:TU: )

    Oldsmobiles
    '55-'57s
    Cutlasses, Cutlasses, Cutlasses :eek2: 442's (a LOT of them, including a '67 400 4 Speed car!) '65-'77 bodies
    '76 Vista Cruiser Wagon

    Mopars
    '60s
    Chargers
    Cudas
    GTX!!!

This is not even the top of the list, as to how MANY cars there ARE!

I will be bidding on (1 or all):
    '69 Firebird
    '70 Chevelle/El Camino
    '72 Skylark Convertible
    '70 AMC Javelin
    Military Truck (6x6)

They all have potential with a Buick 455! I still have 4 more engines to Build, besides my #5 Dual Quad engine, so I need more CARS!:TU:

I'll let you know what's left, when I find out what's still available!:TU:

Found out more details! It's in Bettendorf, Ia, and it doesn't "end" Friday, it's ONLY Friday and Saturday!

2 Days to auction off "1,100" vehicles?!:eek2: That's got to be amazing!

Here's the link, as I was told:

    Should be interesting, anyway. :TU:

Way too cool but sad at the same time.
Who in their right mind just tows cars to a lot, parks them and never does anything with them for up to 55 years?
What a waste. How in the world did these guys ever make any money?
