I am putting my newly rebuilt 71 Skylark rear in my 65. I see that it uses straps with bolts instead of the u-bolts to hold the rear u joint to the rear. My new rear did not come with the straps so I have to get some. The local Auto zone has some stamped steel straps with new bolt super cheap. But, I have no idea what kind of Chinese metallurgy I will get with those. So, I was thinking about performance aftermarket. However, none of my favorite speed sites seem to list anything but the u-bolt replacement types. What are you all running and do you have a vendor and part number you would suggest?
