A couple of questions for the experts. Car is a 69 GS 400 4 Speed with Power Disc brakes.

    1) Are the front control arms the same for the BB Disc cars and a 350 Cal GS with front drums, realizing that the spindles are different? Is the whole front end the same except for the spndles, springs and rag joint?

    2) My parts manual shows two different part numbers for V8 radiators, one for AC (3017258) and one without (3017282). I've been told and have seen that 4 speed car radiators do not have the provision for tranny lines. So why don't I list a seperate part number for a 4 speed? What is correct?

    Thanks,

    Rich

Control arms should be the same on all engine options for the year. Springs are different to make up for the big block weight.

  3. my original 70 GS455 4 speed radiator had plugs in the tranny cooler fittings, my 65 GS 4 speed did also

cheaper to build one rad for both stick shift & auto tranny than two separate rads.

That's weird because my 71 didn't and my 68 doesn't have provisions for tranny cooler lines. The 71 was a three on the tree car and the 68 is a 4 speed. It would make sense to not have two different radiators as they were going down the line.
