I have been gathering Skylark and Camaro emblems to do just that. Problem is that the style between the two is off and I don't think it will look right. My neighbor does pottery and jewelry and is always over wanting to check out the hot rods, I am going to see if he can make the emblems for me. My buddy and I have discussed hiding a camera. Half of the public can't get past the twins to even recognize the Buick part.

If it's a rapper, I must still be living in the Stone age, "Rolling Stones" that is.

Just got back from the BOP drags in Washington. I turned the boost down to 9 PSI so that I wouldn't get into trouble for not having a roll bar the cutoff is 11.50 the car ran 11.63 @120 mph. I have ran the car on 12 PSI but not at a track and the engine does just fine. I do think that if I could run it down the track on 12 psi it would make it into the 10's and if I went to 15 it would definitely make it into the 10's no problem. My 60' foots are still a slow 1.8 but I tell you what once the boost builds this thing is crazy fast. I was running the same MPH as the high 10 low 11 sec cars but their 60' where in the 1.40 range. If I could transbrake it and build boost on the line I would bet this would be in the 10's on 9psi. According to my desktop dyno it takes 680hp to turn 120 in the 1/4 in my 4200lb car. I had a ton of fun at this event and there where a lot of Buick cars at the event. I think we might have even beat the Pontiac car count. O' I almost forgot, I made it to the quarter finals and lost. But that did not matter because my pump gas sleeper runs mid 11's detuned @ 120 mph so all is good in the Boosted Buick.:beer

That's just plain crazy for a mild manered car that you can drive anywhere..

I think a trans brake would make a big difference if we could build boost at the line. If you got a 1.5 60, that would probably cut a 1/2 second off..There's a lot more in my car too. I just have to find it..

What are you doing with your timing these days??
    Spraying meth??
How are you controling the boost??

Lastly, what are you cam specs?? I still think the cam I have is kind of screwy..

I have been following this buildup for some time now and having seen this car in person yesterday, you could say I am just about hooked.

Any of you guys that are one the fence about doing one of these setups, James has done alot of the trial and error getting his setup running making it easier for the rest of us. He is also more than willing to help anybody in their quest to boost their Buick.

BTW. Nice meeting you yesterday James. Your twin skymaro trailer was something else.

This is WAAAAAY more fun than having a NA car that makes that kind of power..

That desktop dyno is a crock. You can't make that kind of power through those crappy log manifolds! :bla:

I enjoyed meeting the entire BOP crowd that was at the track. I have a strong feeling that we are going to have a huge turn out for our Oregon BOP event in 2011. I had a great time and did not realize how many people actually fallow this build. What a great bunch of people. I didn't even bother me when they kept trying to kick me out of the BOP rounds because they thought it was a Camaro.... PFFF chevy people:Dou:. The only time I was bothered was when they announced over the PA system that my car was Pontiac powered:rant:.

I agree with you 3 tenths on the starting line should translate to at least 5 tenths at the finish line. Then you have to remember that it would cause it to hit full boost waaaaaay faster on my car. I am not hitting full boost until about the 330 mark. as a matter of fact my car was pulling harder in second then it was in first and it was pulling harder in 3rd then it was in second. If I could move full boost to the 60 foot that would be worth at least another 5 tenths. Thats 5 at the starting line and 5 at the at the 330. That means on 9 psi I would easily run 10.50's. and be in the nines on 12 psi. Not to mention I am racing in drive, it shifts at 4800-4900 rpms. Did I mention this in a car that weighs in at 4200 lbs with me and my 3 amps, 9 subs and a full tank of gas. Don't forget I run this on the street with 12 psi. the car is faster on the street than it is at the track. well that is if I can keep it hooked.

I am running no vacuum advance and I am running the medium springs for the distributor recurve kit. Stock style Accel performance HEI replacement module. No boost retard. My initial timing is 10* and total timing is 28 ant take all the way to 4500 to be all in.

Yes I am spraying a 50/50 mix(non-flammable) of meth using my devils own progressive setup it is set to come on at 4psi and full on at 11psi. One gallon has lated me all summer.

I have a 4 psi spring in the gates and I put a mechanical ball and spring style boost controller($35) adjusted out to smack the 4 psi spring at 9psi, works great.

if your not making boost soon enough and costing you ET, just buy a 2-step and youll be able to make boost on the line without the cost of going to a trans brake (unless you already have the TB)
