    Hi all,

I'm having a problem with my left front turn signal. The parking light is working, but when I put the directional on I have not voltage to the socket for the turn signal (the parking light continues to work), the left rear and both front and rear on the right side work fine. I've checked the wiring back to the fuse block with a test light, no voltage. I removed the engine side of the wiring from the fuse block and checked for voltage on the spade connectors in the interior side of the fuse block side while the directional was on, nothing. I then removed the fuse block from the inside of the car and checked the rear side of it for broken wires and found none. Could anyone post the wire color for the turn signal switch in the steering column to the left front directional at the inner fuse block ? I don't have a wiring diagram for this car yet....and I think it may be the turn signal switch in the column....

One more thing, the left dash turn signal light is not working either even though the left rear works.

    :Do No:

    Thanks for any help,

    Harry

No.18 Lt. Blue travels from the front left signal & marker, thru the firewall. Spliced under the dash into two separate wires. One No.18 Lt. blue to the indicator light in the speedo cluster. One No.18 Lt. blue to to one side of the steering column connector. Other side of this connector it leaves as No.18 black/lt. blue to the turn signal.

Ok got the turn signal working, it was a bad wire from the column. I also just realized that the both left and right front marker lights on the fenders are not working. I haven't really checked this out yet, but there is no voltage to the wires to the sockets.....

    Any ideas ??

    Thanks,
    Harry

Markers are fed from two sources.
1/ Parallel feed from the signal lights, No.18 Lt. blue-LH. Dk.blue/white-RH.
2/ Common feed for both sides, No.18 Brown, thru firewall to headlamp switch.

Haven't studied the drawing to sort out how the parallel feed works yet. This will get you started.Looks like a single element lamp in the marker.

    wire problems?

Harry, you need to start from the front and go back. First check the fuses then the the wire going to the turn signal switch thea the turn signal switch it self. Then to the connector to the rear of the car. From what I read I think the turn signal switch is defective. This is a easy one to check out, just leave the old one in place and plug in a new one.
