The turn signal switch in my 1966 Skylark GS will not completely cancel. The swutch is GM#911051 and is stamped GUIDE. The electrical components of the switch are all working fine. I've replaced the cancel cam. I believe that the problem lies in the mechanical portion of the switch, where the turn signal lever monuts. The two rotating arms are not very flexable any longer. Is a replacement for this portion of the switch available. The one specified by NAPA is not correct for this switch. Thanks!

    Dick,
I've never looked anywhere else, but I see M&H has a replacement switch for a non-tilt column:

Thanks, John. I am aware of the availability of the entire switch. I was inquring about the availability of the top, rocker portion of the switch as my electrical compnents are all working fine. I'm told that such a replacemet is available. Thanks again.

    Dick,
Many years ago, I had a problem with the turn signal on one side not cancelling. I went to the dealer, and inquired about a new switch. The counter guy asked me if I had checked the spring clips inside the turn signal switch. He gave me 2 of them, and told me to remove the steering wheel and take a look. On each side of the switch, there is a metal spring clip, that has a role in cancelling the signal. One of mine was broken. The pieces were laying inside the column. I replaced the broken one, and problem solved. The dealer had a box of them, he gave me 2 and didn't even charge me. Wish I had a picture of them. I remember they were small, no bigger than a 1/2". Worth a look?
