each system usually has its own flasher ... so it might be as simple as your signal flasher is bad and your hazard flasher is good. the hazard one is a lil heavier duty so it can flash all the bulbs at once. i would buy a new flasher for the signals first. if that dont work, keep us posted on your results.
turn signals before u buy a new signal stat flasher, turn the signal lights on as if u were going to signal, and see if the the bulbs , front & rear , light up . do both sides . if they do , then u need a new heavy duty flasher . if they donot, then u have another problem - fuse, wiring, bad bulb ? .
checked the flashers for both turn signals and hazards both seem good, hazards work fine again but still no turn signals, they do not light up either nothing like its dead, but hazards work fine, could it be the switch assembly in the column? Thanks
signals george: have u checked the fuse ? the hazards & turn signals each have their own fuse . also clean the contacts on the fuse panel . they oxidize over time . be sure that u have 12 volts across the contacts . if all that is well, then u have a wiring problem , ground , or even a problem in the steering column . do u have a wiring diagram for your car ?
this is something else i discovered, when i hit the turn signals the lights will not work like i previously said but the funny thing is i hear the flasher blinking? Thanks
unless you have tried a new flasher .... my money s still on it being bad ......they can make noise like they are working and still be bad because they can click "off" so fast (from being weak) that they dont make the bulbs light. otherwise......... if the blinker's flasher is making noise like it is working but no lights glow.., there is something completeing the circuit (a short)somehow. if it was just one side doing this and not both. i would say you have a wire shorting to ground on its way to the bulbs. if both sides ware having the same problem, i might start suspecting something like a peice of metal (like those silly washers that are supposed to hold the steering wheel horn cover together) falling into your blinker switch and shorting both output wires to ground (or each other).
swap um try just for grins swapping the hazard flasher fro the turn flasher. if you havent done that already quick way to figure if one is bad.:Smarty:
Don't forget to check your forward wiring harness ground, by the headlights. I don't want to explain why I had this problem, but for peace of mind, check the ground.
well figured out what the problem was, apparently some genius installed a regular fuse where the circuit breaker goes, went out bought one put it on and everything is well now:TU: :beer Thanks guys
