Turn key kit: will it work?

Is it possible to order a ring and pinion, have a pinion spacer and bearing assembled and shipped, then install it with the pinion depth correct.
I once had a chart that told me what spacer to use. I installed that shim
and the rear assembled spot on after playing with side shims. That was a 12 bolt. I now have a 10 bolt, 8.5 1972 skylark rear.
I trust no one in my area. So how about monzaz fitting up a best guess on the pinion spacer, pressing on the bearing, then I install and adjust the side shims for a gear pattern.
    So what are the chances.....

.038 I always tell people to use this first if you do not have the original to start with.

It really is impossible to do what your saying. Every housing is slightly different in the race pocket hole depth.

You will get a few that are just WAY off too like .030 or .045.

    Thanks monzaz.
By next spring, I will finish up some work on my engine and plan to change out the 3.42 for a 3.23. If my budget allows, I'll do a worm gear posi and moser axles all together. Guessing it will be about $1000 for all the parts. I'll get back with you on this.
I can see what spacer i have on my 3.42 if that would help make a more accurate choice.
    Appreciate your help.

I just called Jim and ordered a Mosier rear end housing packing with the best parts out there... No hassles shipped to my door. :TU:
