    I know everbody likes the BBB but has anyone ever put a GN motor in a 64-67 skylark- GS?

    I always thought it would be different and fast?

    :Smarty: Let us not forget that the 86 and 87 GN's were intercooled. Certainly good for a few more horses....

    One more thing-

    I wrote The owner of that Car Craft 65 Skylark, including my email address, phone #, and even a SASEnvelope asking the details of this interesting swap. I stated that I too might want to do the same, and I'm sure others would want to know the details as well.
    Result = no reply

    I think the name is Tim Lee, and I've have seen his brother(?), Chris Lee's 65 Gran Sport on the internet. Wow...

    Jake it was your engine post that got me thinking about it.

    I was at a back to the 50,s car show in Mpls last year. I was talking with a friend and told him I was pulling the Chevy 350 that someone put into my 64 Skylark Conv. and replacing it was a 455. He said why don't put a turbo v6 in it and be different. I looked at him like he had a 3rd eye on his forehead.

    I will have to check out that Car Craft issue.

    Thanks
    Ed

    Well mine isnt intercooled, but there are kits to make a "hot air" car into an intercooled one. I was thinking about swapping the v6 into my 65, but I'd rather have an engine I feel comfortable working on (carbed v8) then something I dont really understand (EFI).

    turbo v6 intercooled in a 64

    OKBUICKS.com has a member who took his 64 chevelle ss and put an intercooled v6 in it. many pics posted on mods to trans mounts etc. He is one of the club officers. Try our web page for more help and pics of his ongoing project

  10. Did you y'all see the Butang? It was a 90 LX Mustang that they put a 87 GN motor in. He stomped everyone at the fun ford weekend in his class. They were all angry that they had been really beaten by a buick. BUICK POWER!!!:jd: :jd:
