    Hi all, what type of spark plugs and wires do you think I should run on My 65 401?? I am going to convert the points distributor . Part numbers would be great..

    For just regular driving, I have found stock NOS 44s or the readily availabler44s plugs and stock black suppression wires to work fine. The nailhead isn't a high enough revving motor to need the expensive stuff. If you plan on racing it, you may find a pertronix coil and distributor unit to be useful- On my stage 1, I was able to bump the timing up to stock specs with pump gas without any ping on hard acceleration(quite an eye-opener). For looks, you might use some of the expensive ignition wires that all of the parts stores stock, but I don't know what kind of gains you can expect. Dan
