When the engine is warm no problem it starts very easy and run good When the engine is cold it takes two batteries to get it started! The carburator is a rochester 4 barrel -1970
The carburator has been away for rebuild i have new plugs i have new points and distributorcap new sparkplugswire everything is checked and is ok when the engine is warm 4 degree advance dwell 30 degree no vacum leakage

I'll assume you checked the choke for proper operation, that would be the most important to cold starting. There is another thing to check. Put a voltmeter on the coil primary. Red lead to coil+, black lead to ground. Turn the ignition switch to the run/on position(don't crank). The voltmeter should read 5.5-6 volts. Now have someone crank the motor while you watch the voltmeter. The meter should jump up to 9 volts or more while the engine is cranking. If it doesn't, change the starter solenoid, it's bad, or not wired correctly. When the engine is running, electricity runs through the resistance wire, dropping the voltage to make the points last longer. When you crank the engine, full battery voltage is applied to the coil, by the "R" terminal of the starter solenoid to facilitate starting the engine. If this part of the solenoid does not work, or is wired wrong, you will have a cold start problem, but the engine will start fine when warm. This is an often overlooked problem when you use points.
