Hello, I bought CPP front tubular arms to fit on my 72 Skylark and after fitting it seems strange.... Let me explain, the rotating axle (in red) which passes trough the upper and lower ball joint seems to be in the wrong inclination to have a good caster. The front of the car is on the left.... Look at the picture: Is it correct or is there a problem? I contacted CPP but as usual they didn't give any answers.... Thanks for any help David
Looks like you have negative caster now. Are the arms on the correct side of the car? Is it possible to reverse them?
Just throwing this out, but from the photo it looks like you have the passenger side upper a arm on the driver side in the photo. I could be wrong. o No:
Compare your installation to mine. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=118041&highlight=pics+tubular+suspension
i also have bought them from www.mattsclassicbowties.com ...(i ordered them in black color...!! :blast: ) price was +- 750 $ I will try to reverse the upper arms to try to gain positive caster but the wheel on the right side is already in place and it fit well in the wheel arch...
Re: Tubular arms So, as i can't get any answer from CPP or MattsClassic (once sold ,go to hell thanks for the service!!!) , i will wait until the alignment shop to see if there is a problem... If i had to redo it, i would have chosen Global West or Hotchkiss as they have a good after sale service. If you need to buy tubular arms don't hesitate and go for them.... ( I never get any answer from CPP, even for buying part i had to go to a reseller...o No: )
