Sent my new intake/front cover/water pump to TriShield Performance for the aluminum polishing service, and everything turned out fantastic. Thanks Jim!:beer

Here's a pic to illustrate the real reason I developed this process.

As anyone who has owned an alum intake manifold knows, cast alumium soaks up dirt, oil and fuel stains, and corrodes after a while, and really starts to look bad.

The heads, valve covers and timing cover/water pump on this motor were done 7 years before this picture was taken, and they had seen plenty of hard use, Minnesota winters with big temp changes, and plenty of dirty fingerprints from racing.

I always advise my engine customers... either paint or polish the heads, intake, valvecovers and timing cover/water pump, if you want you investment to stay looking nice for many years to come.

My price to do this has not gone up since the inception of the process in 2001.

New part prices are listed, used parts can be brought back to looking good, with only a small cleanup/blasting fee.

I agree that his polishing process looks great. I picked up my intake and water pump from him last Saturday and even got a bit of porting advice on the intake. I finished the port work on the intake after picking it up, spent a few minutes with some degreaser to remove the cutting oil from the runners, sprayed it clean with a hose, blew it dry with compressed air and it sparkled just like new. I even had a bunch of guys at my shop that saw the intake and said "oh, you bought a new intake" and I explained it was just cleaned and polished. There is no doubt that when I upgrade my heads and timing cover I will be visiting TSP again. Worth every penny.
