Hey guys, I've been looking around for a while and want some suggestions on the carb I should go for. I have an Edelbrock 600 Performer right now. A couple of things I need to consider...

The car would likely still have the q-jet on it, but there are very few, if not non-existant q-jet guys around here. The exhaust x-over will be blocked on the heads too, so the electric choke on the Performer is nice.

My build as in my signature is current, except the heads are off at the machine shop right now for porting. Also have a crower 50259 (.499/.508) going in. I am guessing here, but will be ball-parking the HP in the 375 range at the flywheel... wanted 400 but i don't think its going to be quite there.

My initial thoughts were to go to a 750 Performer... what about the Thunder AVS? Also, is 750 sufficient, or should I jump to 800?

Your engine came stock with a 750. I would say get a 750. You could probably get away with a larger carb, but you have to be careful, so you do not get one that is too big.

i've heard good things about jet q jets, pricey at 579.00 but if you have the money do it, call them up and see what they say ,it should be the last carb you buy.
