I am trying to identify a Buick engine, I am told it is a 322 and the stamping on the drives side in the center of the pistons, help me with this number... V846I335 I cant find any reference to this number o No:
Perhaps, the number is ; V8461335 ? (1 not an I)? 1959 issue of the BUICK MASTER BODY PARTS BOOK , shows; 1955 Engine starts at V-720080 1956 Engine Number Starts at V-1460023 1957 Engine and Frame Number are the same and start at D1-1001001 Flint, G 1955; 3-5/8" bore X 3.2" stroke = 264c.i.d. 4" bore X 3.2" stroke = 322c.i.d. 1956 all; 4" bore X 3.2" stroke = 322c.i.d. I would say; late model 1956 322. But, I'm far from an expert. Anyone else care to chime in?
