I'm planning on replacing the trunk floor in my 72 GS. Has anyone used the 2 piece one from Origninal Parts Group (OPGI). The PN#'s are 97238RH and LH.
I was wondering how well they are made. For the price (129.95 ea.) they seem like a good deal.

How big of an area is bad on your car?

If not too large, get the one-piece floor pan. Cost is $85 from www.nationalpartsdepot.com

It's pretty bad. I'd like to replace most of it since I'm restoring it. It would have to be 48 inches wide at the very least. Its a shame the trunk went. the rest of the car is in really nice shape.

    Two reasons for trunk rust:

    1. rear window channel leaking water into trunk
    2. vinyl rubber mat kept in place

If you need the complete floor, get the 3 piece set-up.

You should add your city/state to your header info.

There are several A-body suppliers that carry the trunk floors. Maybe one is near you.

I have used the two piece. It fit good and it came with the floor brace/body mount already welded in place. I have also used the three piece with good luck as well.
Just a note that i have found with these floor pieces. There are different stampings out there and the contour is different for different years.
For example the two piece is correct for the 70-72 cars not correct for 68-69 cars. The three piece kits can come both ways, so pay attention to what you are buying.
They will all fit each other, that is not the issue. It is in the rib design at the rear and the rib design at the flat area near the dog legs that are different for the years decribed above.
If i recall i beleive the two piece is USA made
    Good luck

Thanks John, I'm going to go with the 2 piece (less welding to do). I believe the floor went due to the mat. It has rust in a pattern that resembles the mat shape. Thanks again. Todd.

I used the NPD two piece kit mainly because they actually had a picture of it and it looked correct. As mentioned above, be aware of different stampings that had different patterns, and also the three piece I saw (year one) was the generic a-body and the outboard sides go out too far (gto??).

Also, the NPD panels seem to be a bit thicker than the others.

I have a review on my website, plus pics of install.

I just saw a photo of a really complete, 1 piece trunk floor at The Parts Place's website. It LOOKS good in the photo, as it seems to go all the way forward over the hump to the factory seam location behind the rear seat, and all the way up the rear body panel to the latch area. I don't know if this thing would fit into the rear of the car without tearing out the lower quarters or not, but it might be worth a look. Thanks, Rudy E.

I know year-one carries repro trunk floor pans, although I am not sure if they would be cheaper or not than NPD or OPG. www.yearone.com
