Trunk fitment question...

    Poppaluv I CALL WINNERS!!!

    The decklid sits maybe about 1/4in. lower than the body on both sides. Other than building up filler, what is the correct way to adjust this???

    Put a shim between the deck lid and the hinge on the front bolt. You'll have to experiment with how much and the exact placement but a little bit goes a long way on these.

    Front or rear corners? Or both?

    If it's in the rear, then adjust the latch on the body upward.

    Look at weatherstripping and rubber bumpers. Old weatherstripping will collapse under lid...especially when latch adjusted tighter. Lid will be low all around. If low at back only, could be rubber bumpers...or their contact points on body panel. Old body shop trick is to raise body panel contact points for rubber bumpers by tapping from underneath with hammer. If low at front only...hinge alignment...

    wow! thanks guys! It's just low in the rear corners and I was just thinking about it. That's NOT gonna work if it ever gets past primer...:(
