    Hi everyone.

My original divider in my 69 had 2 large holes in it that look like a previous owner pushed through pre-punched areas. I'm getting ready to install a new one. Were these holes there from the factory or no? It looks like the factory divider and there's no jute with it.

    Thanks.

Hi , I have to believe that they are not (holes) from the factory . Here's my old one on my 68 , I'm going to replace it in about a week or 2 . I'll put a picture of my new one as soon as I get it .

I have bought direct from REM in the past. They may have changed since I did.

Yes, All the cars from the factory had the divider unless it was forgotten. It's an insulator noise supressor type of thing. The trunk area is pretty loud when driving and these are Buicks don't you know. And the divider gave some integrity to the jute padding.

My original looked worse than that. Probably because a previous owner hacked in some rear speaakers and ran the wires through the big holes. I didn't punch out any holes from the repro and it looks a lot better.
