I'm getting ready to begin a frame off restro on a 72 convertable and was wondering who in your opinion had the better floorpans and trunkpans? Reasons? Thanks in advance for any input.

it looks like thepartsplace.com for me since they are local for me and have the best price local too. other than that i havent found any differences from
one to the other .some of the partial kits are made in usa .

  3. there is now a one piece floorpan available for 68-72 A bodies. according to the guys i know who have used them they are very nice.. Goodmark sells them and possibly other companies

Since this is my first attempt at this, would it be easier with a one piece or the several piece designs?

    Thanks,

    how bad is your floor?
do you need crossbraces ?the section underneath the back seat.
you need to determine how much you need to replace.
also check ebay for skylark/chevelle floor you will find there are many options

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

I used the new one piece pan and it works great for the pass floors. It has the "correct" bucket seat brkts already welded in place. If you have a bench, you will need to remove all 4 brkts. Hopefully....you have an A-body supplier near you..........so you can pick up the pan(s).

I have www.nationalpartsdepot.com about 80 miles for me and it is cheaper and faster for me to drive there and get the Chevelle pans for the Skylarks I restore. I asked once to ship a one-piece trunk pan....$90 from them... and it was $90 to ship it. So, I went and picked it up along with some other items.

Well I got the motor and trans out today, and plan on taking out the interior on Sunday. From what I can tell having the car up on jack stands, it's not pretty. I'm taking pics as I tear things down and will take some pics of this floor pan. I have a good friend with some autobody connections, so I'll check with him to see what's nearby.
