my 65 wildcat's trunk lock is starting to come apart. The face is loose, and I can get the key in but it wont turn. How do I go about taking it out? And are there replacements out there?

do not know about the wildcats, but the a-body (70-72) has a spring steel long u clip that is screwnailed to the insude lip of the trunk lid. remove the screw and pull hard and the clip extracts out and the lock now can be pulled out.

If the key won't operate the lock...you will need to remove the back seat and get some long long long 3/8" drive ratchet extensions......remove the two screws/bolts holding the catch to the trunk, 7/16 or 1/2" and then you can work on the lock set-up.
