Trivial Leaf Spring Question

    Except i have no idea what the answer is.....

    Do leaf spring rear ends have upper control arms?

    Trying to figure out how to setup the suspension on our new race car, and we dont have much experience with leaf springs.:beers2:

    No upper control arms. The rear axle is bolted to the leafs with U bolts. What are you putting leafs into?

    No, they don't have as a rule but there have been some cars built that have factory traction bars that may appear to be upper control arms to the unknowing. Some of the 1st Gen Camaros were an example of this.

    Traction bars to be added, it already has wheelie bars.

    As I recall, 1960 Corvettes may have had factory traction bars that were mounted on the top of the rear end.
